Linda Joy Montgomery announces the hardcover edition
of her book Silent Strength

Ms. Montgomery is pleased to introduce Silent Strength as a hard cover, coffee-table book containing a visual odyssey of color nature images and inspirational poetry. In this expanded edition, the book truly portrays a marriage of inner and outer vision, reflecting the courage and new-found perspectives of her life's journey.

Once a photographer, Ms. Montgomery drew "silent strength" from the absorbing beauty in nature. She delighted in photographing color images of waterfalls, sun rises on the ocean, redwoods soaring through mist, glorious flowers, and lush mountain meadows.

In 1984, her career ended abruptly with the onset of blindness, a complication of Juvenile Diabetes. Living in the dark prompted her to look more deeply within, embracing her spiritual essence through meditation and silent reflection. Three years later poetry began to emerge from her meditations. She was further guided to combine these inspirational poems with her scenic photography in a self-published, soft-cover version of Silent Strength.

The impact of the book has reached around the globe. In 1991, Ms. Montgomery was presented with a Silver Angel Award for Silent Strength by Excellence in Media in Beverly Hills, California. The book was also networked to troops through U.S. Army chaplains in Saudi Arabia during Desert Shield/Desert Storm.

Ms. Montgomery has weathered additional challenges including kidney dialysis, two kidney transplants and the partial loss of her right foot. Embracing these life-altering changes has led to her spiritual transformation adding depth to her writings and inspirational talks.

She is gaining national recognition through book signings, gallery showings and speaking engagements around the country. Her talks, graced with humor and insight, inspire others to "see with their hearts and to embrace the wonder of their own spiritual essence."
